MARCH 2010

This month started out the same as all the others for me. I have just been busy working for JetBlue. We switched to a new computer system, which is more involved and difficult than our old program. I have had a lot more health problems lately, and it seems that my job makes them worse. The screen is white now, so my eyes are hurting more. Bob and I even got new glasses this month, but I keep having more headaches because of my eyes, and my neck and back.
I decided that my health means more to me than this job, even though I really enjoy helping people. I love JetBlue, it's a great company. Bob agreed with me that I need to get healthy again, so I gave my notice at JetBlue to leave.
So, at least for the next few months, I am going to take the time to take care of myself. I am going to work on my genealogy, organizing all of my thousands of pictures and get my house clean and organized. I'm thankful for this time to catch up with lots of projects that I've been wanting to get to. I'm excited to be able to spend lots of time with Robert and my cute grandkids!

On March 26th, I flew to Florida to visit my Dad and the rest of my family. I am going to add another blog and write about my great trip.

Here is Bob's March blog:

I was in Richmond, Virginia for the first week of March. I commented on Richmond in last month’s BLOG. I also went to San Antonio, Texas for two weeks, Santa Ana, California for a week and then finally left for the island of Guam on March 26th. That is as far away from Nancy as I have ever been on her birthday.

San Antonio
I came down to San Antonio late Sunday night (03/07). Mom and Dad followed a day later. Besides working during the day, we did the following at nights and on the weekend:
Riverwalk
The Riverwalk area is about a 500 yard walk from our hotel (Residence Inn) past the Alamo. We go over the River Center Mall. In the mall is an IMAX theater. We saw two 3D movies back to back (50% off on the 2nd movie). The movies were about Dolphins and Whales and Prehistoric sea reptiles. We went after the movies and had ribs at Tony Romas. Another night we took the scenic boat trip down the San Antonio river that runs through town.
Sea World
On Saturday, we drove about 20 miles out to Sea World and got there about 10 AM. We were using Dad’s GPS to get there. Good thing we were using that instead of MapQuest because the last part of the route was blocked by police cars so we had to rely on the GPS “lady” to find us an alternate route into Sea World. We stayed there until about 5:30 PM. We pushed Mom around in a wheelchair. The following are the activities we participated in:
Shows – We saw the Killer whales, the seals and walrus, and the dolphins and white whales. The last also had divers and acrobats. They were all entertaining. The Killer Whale show also had a tribute to the trainer that was killed recently in Orlando.
We went to the 4D theatre. The movie was in 3D and there were also special effects to tied into the movie involving water, shaking seats, etc.
Church – We found a service and went to sacrament meeting. One of the elders that spoke is from Payson, Utah.
